Discovery Benefits provides employee benefits administration to businesses across the country.

The Project

To create a fully branded “Thank You” mailer promotion for new benefits plan partners of Discovery Benefits.

Objective

To thank customers for setting up a plan with Discovery Benefits and encourage them to speak up by reaching out to their day-to-day account contacts through unique, customized merchandise.

Considerations

Meaning

Products needed to serve the purpose of reminding customers to “speak up” to their account contacts and be able to be used in an office setting on a day-to-day basis.

Customizability

The client wanted products whose messages and design could be tweaked if they decided to do another run of the promotion at a later date.

Packaging

Everything needed to be branded as well as functional, including the box. We also needed to come up with a way to adhere everything within the box, without compromising on design, so it was able to be mailed.

The Solution

We started with mock-ups using the “Speak up, we’re listening” slogan, which we designed for the promotion. When the customer decided that they wanted the message of the box to instead focus on thanking their partners for working with them, we created new mock-ups with this message. Included in the final thank you kit were a Bluetooth speaker and ear buds, both of which both incorporated our “speak up” slogan; a cell phone wallet, which could hold the account contact’s business card; and a calendar that highlighted key communication dates and company holidays.

The Result

Discovery Benefits team members loved the fully branded mailer so much that they handed out more than they expected to in the first 6 months and have already placed a re-order!
